Best Brunch Spot in Brisbane for a Lazy Sunday

The vibes in morningafter is immaculate. It’s especially amazing when the weather is all sunny. The vibe is pretty chill when there’s not much people. My friend and I decided to visit this brunch spot around Wednesday, solely because we just felt like it. One of the best parts about this place is that there is outdoor seating. I feel like many cafes around Brisbane seem to forget that which is kinda annoying since it is one of the key features that makes a cafe. Another great thing about morningafter is that the music wasn’t some cringe mainstream songs, but instead was some chill K-R&B songs.

In terms of the food, I made sure to try the carbonara they offered to see if it was any good. And boy was I impressed… I really enjoyed how creamy the cheese was since I have first-hand experience on how difficult it is (it really is, trust me). My friend decided to get the omurice bowl since he recently came back from a trip to Japan. Even though he came back a few weeks ago, he still talks about it every day (maybe I will have to visit there to see what all the hype is about). Although he enjoyed the omurice, he wished it was a bit sweeter to his liking.

morningafter is located in West End, tucked away near Boundary St. The location of this place made me realise why not all cafes can be perfect. Don’t get me wrong, this is still one of my all-time favourites… but trying to find street parking at this place is absolutely crazy. I highly recommend you guys to take public transport or you can even walk there (if you live in the city). All of the free parking spots are always taken, so you’re gonna have to use the paid ones if you don’t mind spending a bit of money. Nevertheless, I still recommend you guys to check it out.

Another thing that I really liked about this place is that no one rushes you here. You can pretty much just take your time and do whatever you want. I’m not gonna lie, I might come back next week by myself and read some of the books I’ve always wanted to read for hours. I might start with It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover since SO many people have been praising it so much. Since the movie came out kinda recently, here is the trailer so you have a better idea on what it’s about. If I’m not gonna read that, then I might read The Art of War by Sun Tzu. If you know, you know 🙂

Before I go, I want to leave you guys with a secret tip that will maximise your experience. When you get inside, make sure you grab one of the couches near the back for max comfort. Trust me, you’re definitely gonna thank me later. And if you love croissants, make sure you come early (before 11am) since they usually sell out quickly. Also if you don’t mind, go check out my friend’s Brisbane asbestos removal business. This is something he’s been working on for a really really long time and he’s finally mustered up the courage to share about it. So if you could give it a little peak, it would mean the world to him.
